About kids classes
For group kids classes parents will choose whichever class they want to start their children on.
Parents can do a simple test for young learners on the Cambridge website.

I will work with students in the classroom and if a student is struggling after 1-2 weeks parents will be contacted with advice on changing the course more appropriate to their children's level.
All children are encouraged to actively participate in the conversation although if I recognise some children are shy, I will give extra suport here and empathy to try and encourage even the shortest answersfrom them to questions. Phrases will be on screen to help them answer and of course I provide ongoing help throughout the classes.
Whilst I appreciate parents are keen to be on hand to help, the most important thing for parents to do is to ensure they are able to ensure a good stable connection, provide a headset for their child and a quiet area for them to speak from. Children are often very reluctant to speak around their parents so if you know this is the case with your child, I would recommend you sit somewhere out of sight, but close enough, so that for younger students, if they have technical problems you can quickly help.
Group classes take place on Zoom.
BEGINNERS - A0-A1
For beginners and young learners the most important thing is to make them feel comfortable and to ensure they have fun so they are happy to come back time after time.

On the presentation to the left here, you can see that all questions are thought out in advance but these questions will be adapted / translated as necessary to help all learners feel they are able to try to have a go at answering the questions with some degree of success (in their eyes)..

There will be online games available and I have different tasks on hand to encourage all students to speak.

ELEMENTARY - A1-A2
The classes for elementary level kids will work on the same basis as the beginners classes but with a little more conversation, Again, questions will be adapted dependent upon their abilities.

Encouragement will be given to try to speak, no matter how little or much they feel comfortable saying.

The objective

PRE-INTERMEDIATE - B1
The classes for students will work have similar topics to the above but there will be more discussion and questions will be more indepth here, Again, questions will be adapted for individual students dependent upon their abilities.

Encouragement will be given to try to speak and interact with other students in the group.

The objective

INTERMEDIATE - B2 +
Students here will be encouraged to discuss the different topics at a more advanced level. They will interact with each other both individually and as a group on different topics with other students. Questions will be more complex to encourage students to extend their answers. However, questions will still be adapted dependent upon their abilities.

Encouragement will be given to try to give their opinions and will not be interupted.
